Norway's most-walked ridge, in 3D.

Besseggen in exact topography: the narrow ridge between Gjende and Bessvatnet, two lakes at different heights with a knife edge between them - 10 km of Jotunheimen with Veslfjellet, Gjendesheim and the whole ridge in one square, shaped from real terrain data. The lakes are cut right through to the black base board, so the shape that makes Besseggen Besseggen reads from across the room.

Choose a frame in oak or black, and with or without a name plate. Without the plate, the whole square is terrain - no cut-out and no text.

The relief is 25 x 25 cm and the frame measures 28 x 28 cm on the outside. It arrives assembled and ready to hang.

We make it when you order - printed, assembled and framed by hand in Stockholm. It ships within 1-2 weeks. Delivery within Sweden then takes around 4 working days and is free; for the UK, Norway and the rest of the EU, the shipping cost is shown at checkout.

Every piece is made to order and ships within 1-2 weeks. Delivery within Sweden then usually takes around 4 working days. We pack every piece carefully so that it arrives intact.

Materials and making

The relief is 3D printed in PLA at our workshop in Stockholm, layer by layer. The frame is made by a framing workshop in Saltsjö-Boo, close to us. We then mount the relief in the frame, check the piece and pack it ourselves.

Listen är 16 mm bred framifrån. Skivan ligger 3 mm under ramkanten, så den reser sig ca 65 mm över ramen. Ramen är ca 2 cm djup.

Where on the map?

Every FRMD piece is cut from an exact square of real terrain data. The map shows where that square sits, how large it is and where the summit falls. The square is the same on the piece as on the map, metre for metre.
